About Amanda
I paint and teach. I was called “toppy” in high school.
My vision is to have a home-based art school where all can participate in the beauty of life while painting and learning together.
I teach a couple of painting classes out of the adult school in San Juan Capistrano as well as ESL four nights a week. One painting class is “Pleine Aire” and the other is a studio class. I love to get people started in painting as well as life… to encourage them to see their style, talent, and to assist them as they open their eyes of their hearts.
My mission is to introduce new arrivals to our beautiful country to the wonders of the United States as well as the wonders of Jesus Christ in whatever way that I can.
I am also passionate about photography of late. I’ve been taking shots of parades, grandchildren, church barbecues, and anything else that catches my fancy. My real enjoyment is in the editing (imagine that!).
I am constantly amazed and delighted that I can receive so much pleasure from such a small thing; enjoying God’s creation all around me.
The biggest challenge is in doing my own work: I’ve been inspired to name my paintings with scripture quotes from the Bible. You can’t imagine how much fun that is.
